THE SCHUMANN SONGBOOK DAY 1
We started with "Erstes Grün" - and we were lucky..."first green" - "first take"!!!Followed by "Ich hab im Traum geweinet" also known as the "Udu-Song" as the one and only Ingrid O is featuring the magic instrument "Udu". On "Herbstlied", our bass suite, Mister Hans Strasser played an incredible solo filled with a thousand stories and melodies. "Ich grolle nicht" - one of the biiiig ballads of Mister Schumann arranged by rüegg...and once more we played "Ich will meine Seele tauchen" - and after a whole day of recording, there it was, almost as if it has always been there : )
...we had a good start - tomorrow is just around the corner and I'm already half asleep...good night, sleep tight, yours Lia!

THE SCHUMANN SONGBOOK DAY 2
It‘s been a long and intense session...we continued our journey step by step, song by song and started our morning in a waltzy mood with„Lotusblume“ followed by the dark ballad with a beautiful piano solo by mathias „Es stürmet am Abendhimmel“(by the way: mathias also included a very expressive dance session in this ballad: ) ). „Ich kanns nicht fassen, nicht glauben“ and „Nun hast du mir den ersten Schmerz getan“ from the cycle „Frauenliebe und Leben“ kept us going through out the afternoon and we finished our recording day with a groooovy funky polka version of „Märzveilchen“, in which Ingridiii and I had a intense clapping experience while mathias and Hans were having their incredible bass line unisono party : ) - you‘ll hear it soon, I promise : )!!!
I wanted to continue in an afterhour session with a solo tune but couldn‘t get myself to where I wanted...maybe it was too soon, maybe I was too tired…what an incredible day!!!I feel so grateful to experience these moments when you play together and suddenly you have the feeling that everything falls into place..and you hope that when you listen to it next morning you'll still feel the same : ) – let‘s face the music and dance!
